Bella Poarch is a Filipino born to biological Filipino parents. She was born February 9, 1997. Her mother was on the streets until her three-year-old age, when she was placed to a foster home. Her adoptive parents are both Filipinos and her white American adoptive dad has an army background. She says her adoptive brother and she were subjected to abuse since they were children up until the time she enlisted. In order to move to Texas at the age of 13, her family spent several months living in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. Though the physical violence stopped but she says that she endured mental assault from her father in the her home. When she turned 18 she joined the United States Navy. Poarch created her TikTok profile in April 2020. Within a short time, she had more that forty million users. Poarch uploaded a variety of videos and the one that was most well-known was Millie B's viral hit Soph Aspin Send. It became one of TikTok's most popular videos. The video zoomed in on her jumping rhythmically and lip-syncing along to the tune went viral. After joining TikTok, she created her own YouTube account as well as a Twitter account to increase her fame. Poarch's burgeoning fame peaked at the end of December in 2020. Two big Esports professional teams were said to be intrigued by her. FaZe Clan (100 Thieves) and 100 Thieves were interested in hiring her to create content for their respective brand names.
